Alex Galloway was previously Clerk of the Privy Council, a post from which he retired in December 2006. His experience is wide-ranging, and he is a past Chair of the British Energy Efficiency Federation, a past member of the DoE/Local Government Practitioners’ Committee on Local Authority Finance, as well as having experience of policy matters on EU Water Quality, Planning, Energy Efficiency, Community Charge/Council Tax, and varied experience at the Cabinet Office. Alex is also a Trustee and former Chair of the charity Projects in Partnership, Honorary Treasurer and President of the London branch of Oxford University Society, an Honorary Fellow of the Society for the Environment and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
