This page is a resource for anyone who wants to register with us for the first time whether you hold UK or EU qualifications or whether you want to apply to the temporary Register. If you hold overseas qualifications, you can read more about the prescribed examination process here. If you’re unsure which route is applicable to you, you can check the ARB route finder here.
You can make your application online, using our online portal. Online registration is both safe and quick, and can be made at a time and place that is most convenient for you. You can, if you prefer, apply using a paper-based form, which you can access once you have entered the relevant page from the options below.
Please note that you should take time to read the documents relevant to maintaining registration which can be found via the links to the right. These include the Architects Code of Conduct, information on professional indemnity insurance and what you will need to do in order to maintain registration. You need only read the Competency Standards guidance if you are applying to register more than two years after having passed your Part 3, or if you have been away from the Register for more than two years.
