Following an election conducted in accordance with the General Rules, Nabila Zulfiqar has been re-elected to the role of Chair of the Board. Nabila will be supported in the post by Richard Parnaby who has been re-elected as Vice Chair.
Nabila Zulfiqar said, ‘I am delighted to have been re-elected as Chair of the ARB, I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues on the Board as we focus on the important task of regulating the profession in the public interest. In the year ahead we will continue to work closely with our sponsoring government department, the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), on the implementation of the outcome of the periodic review, including moving to a new model of governance based on an appointed Board. I would like to congratulate my colleague Richard Parnaby who has been elected Vice Chair, his experience and insight are a source of great support to myself and my fellow Board Members.’
Richard Parnaby said, ‘I am very pleased to have been re-elected Vice Chair and look forward to supporting Nabila and the Board as we continue with the important role of overseeing the delivery of ARB’s statutory functions, and our plans to review the criteria for the prescription of the qualifications we recognise.’
