On 23 June 2016 the EU referendum took place and the United Kingdom voted to leave the EU. Here you can find out more about what we know so far and the implications for the architects’ profession.
We will continue to update this information as we learn more. For the time being the UK remains a full member of the EU and all the rights and obligations of EU membership remain in force. Government negotiations will determine what arrangements apply in relation to EU legislation during the transition period and beyond.
We have been following matters closely and dedicated staff time to considering different outcome scenarios. We have a schedule of work in place so we are in as strong a position as possible to protect the public and support architects through any resulting change to regulation.
