The Architects Registration Board is seeking to appoint architect Inquirers to provide technical advice in respect of complaints against registered architects.
The Architects Registration Board is the statutory regulator for architects in the UK. One of the roles of the ARB is to investigate complaints about the competence and conduct of architects on the Register.

Term of Engagement: Four year term, with the possibility of reappointment
Hourly rate: £120 (subject to tax and National Insurance)
The role will involve providing technical advice to Investigations staff during the initial stages of a complaint and carrying out further investigation such as undertaking site visits, interviewing parties and submitting a report on the findings. An inquirer may also be required to present their evidence at a Professional Conduct Committee hearing.
This is not an onerous appointment, with work being undertaken remotely. Each inquirer will likely receive 1-2 instructions a year.
To be considered for this role candidates must be a registered Architect in the UK. Experience of giving expert witness evidence to court or tribunals is desirable (although not essential).

We anticipate interviews will be held on Monday 10, Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 June 2019 at ARB’s Office in Central London.
