Biography

Alice Hynes is an experienced professional services leader, strategist and company secretary; with over 20 years operating within senior teams across a range of Universities and at national level in the HE Sector. Alice has carried responsibility for educational governance, funding, financing & HR; estates & development; academic quality & student experience, communications & PR as well as HE policy. She has worked at Northampton, Bedfordshire, Liverpool, Dartington, Kingston, Roehampton and London, as well as being CEO at GuildHE, an Assistant Director at the QAA and an Interim COO at the Leadership Foundation.

Alice has directed her own consultancy company, APC Futures Ltd, since 2012 and is currently a member of Council at Cranfield University, as well as on its Audit Committee and Nominations Committee.  She is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute (previously the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators), the Royal Society of Arts, and the Association of University Administrators, a Liveryman and Committee member of the Worshipful Company of Educators, Freeman of the City of London and a member of both the Association for Project Managers and the Institute of Leadership and Management. She holds an undergraduate degree from Exeter and her Masters is from Birkbeck, with a PG Dip in Coaching and Mentoring from the Institute of Leadership and Management.
