I am a Chartered Architect, Associate Director and Head of Project Management services working at WYG Belfast. My work is currently focused around management of the Integrated Consultant Team for the design and delivery of a £150M Department of Education funded capital Develop and Construct contract.
This contract is a pilot for shared education and the first of its type in N.Ireland and will involve the construction of a Shared Education Campus of five post-primary schools and shared facilities for 4200 post-primary pupils on a former military base in County Tyrone.
Since 2010 I have been involved intermittently with the RSUA as a Council Member and currently hold the Interim Chair for a local Architectural interest group.
In addition to my full-time position, since 2004 I have provided examiner / lead examiner services for the ARB prescribed examinations at Parts 1 and 2, advisor to the ARB Competency Standards Group since 2011 and professional Part 3 examiner at RIBANW since 2007 and Dublin Institute of Technology since 2016.
In 2010, I also held a one year 0.5 tenure as Senior Teaching Fellow and Head of Professional Studies in Architecture at Queen’s University Belfast and continue to act as support PSA, monitoring and reviewing Part 3 PEDR, Case Study and the preparation of the Office Based Examination for the course.
