Carol Robertson

Biography

Carol is an architect and senior lecturer who has been engaged in education and practice for over 20 years. Following studies in Scotland, Denmark and the USA Carol worked as a project architect in London, responsible for a range of projects including affordable housing, urban regeneration, community arts and small scale residential. She now teaches full-time at the University of Dundee’s Department of Architecture & Urban Planning, having joined part-time in 2006. Carol contributes to teaching, course development and assessment across all levels of the M.Arch course in Dundee, and publishes research on low energy architecture which develops themes explored in the design studio.

Carol holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her Postgraduate studies investigated peer learning, reflective learning, and live projects in architectural education through research, analysis and assessment of current teaching practice.
