Graeme Barker

I am a Registered Architect and Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham. My principle role at the University is Collaborative Practice Leader, where I leading the establishment of a new MArch Part 2 course. In addition to this I teach professional studies across both Part 1 and Part 2 level, am involved in studio teaching of March students and act as a PSA for Year Out students.

Before starting work at the University in 2016 I was an Associate Director in regional practice, where I led significant projects both locally and nationally for a number of high profile clients, including Universities at Lincoln, Nottingham Trent and Bath Spa as well as private clients including HSBC Investments and Greystar. My span of experience ranges from housing and offices, through to R+D, student accommodation and education, and includes extensive experience in off-site manufacturing as well as work on listed buildings. I have worked under a wide range of procurement models, including traditional, design and build as well as NEC forms of contract, and my last role in practice included formulation and management of practice specification and CDM standards
