Biography

After Cambridge, Paul qualified at a magic circle City firm, then moved to Devon, where he has been in practice as a solicitor ever since. Initially he was general practitioner but then specialised as an employment lawyer. He has sat as an Employment Judge since 1992, and more recently also as a judge of the Asylum and Immigration Chamber. He is responsible for running the disciplinary panel of the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries. In addition to chairing the professional conduct committee of the ARB he chairs and sits on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and the NMC’s fitness to practice committee.
