ARB successfully prosecutes for title abuse (25/02/2005)
On 18 February 2005 at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court, Roger Parry and Tudor Watkins of Welshpool were found guilty of breaching Section 20 of the Architects Act.
Both had pleaded guilty to the offence. The magistrates levied a fine of £750 each, and made a costs award of £1850. Payment is required within 28 days.
The matter had been referred to ARB by an architect in the Welshpool area.
Commenting on the case, the Regulation Department said that they welcomed the magistrates’ decision, which reflected the seriousness of the offence.
