PCC – Messrs Lewis and Lyons (06/10/2005)

The hearing of the Professional Conduct Committee (constituted under the Architects Act 1997) held in London on 5 October 2005 involving Mr Lewis and Mr Lyons, was adjourned.

ARB of course recognises the rights of architects appearing before the PCC to raise preliminary procedural issues. It was novel that in this case, an objection should be launched against all three members of the PCC hearing the case.

These objections having been heard by the PCC, the lay member who had previously been a member of the Board, whilst rejecting the accusation of bias, none the less stood down.

The Committee will now proceed with the case on a new date yet to be set. As the case is not yet concluded, there will be no further comment from ARB.
