Register of Architects
In the UK, it is illegal for anyone to offer their services as an architect if they are not registered with ARB. You can check whether someone is registered by using our Search the Register facility.
Searching our register
You can search for an architect by surname, forename, company name, address, postcode or country, or a combination of one or more of these fields. You don’t need to complete every box to be able to search the register. You can also use an architect’s unique registration number to search the register to confirm that they are registered.
Search results
If successful, your search will show the architect’s registration number and their name and address. Where the architect has given us permission to publish their telephone number, email address and website address, these will also show up in the search results. Please note that not every architect gives their permission for this, and please note too that there are some architects on our register who have fully retired from practice. We don’t keep a separate register for this category of architect.
