Returning to and leaving the Register
There is almost constant movement in the Register throughout the year, with people joining, rejoining and leaving. There are a number of reasons for this – for example, some people may be newly-registered or, at the other end of the registration spectrum, they may be fully retired from practice with no further need to stay on the Register. Some people leave the Register to bring up a family, while others leave architecture altogether.
The information on these pages tells you what to do if you want to leave the Register. Equally important, though, they tell you what you need to do if you want to rejoin the Register. The methods for rejoining, and the associated costs, will depend entirely on how you left and how long you have been off the Register.
If you’re not sure which is the right way for you to join/rejoin, please get in touch with us either by phone on 020 7580 5861 or by email at info@arb.org.uk, and we’ll be happy to help you.
