The ARB has received calls from concerned architects who have received a spam email regarding an alleged fraud. This spam email is not from the ARB or the RIBA. We are working with the RIBA to investigate this further.
It appears that the contact data used may have been taken from the public online statutory Register of architects which is held by the ARB. We have found no evidence of loss or compromise of ARB systems containing private Registrant data.
RIBA have advised us that RIBA data has not been compromised, neither has the architecture.com domain.
If you have received the email please don’t open it or any of its attachments, delete it and empty your deleted items folder. This appears to be spam email rather than viral, however, if you have any concerns please contact email@example.com or telephone +44 (0)20 7580 5861.
